When I think of Grunge, I think of best friends, great music, The Rocket newspaper, wet weather, Sub Pop Records, great photo shoots and most of all the amazing moments that I witnessed and shot. I look back at the photos and just smile. I thought I would share some of my memories and moments. TOPIC: My Thoughts Now
Really fucking lucky …you made history happen along with the musical greats! Now we all reap the benefit in revisiting those precious moments in time through your lens! Thanks!! My beautiful era also as far from Seattle as I was. I took in that scene 100% along with some of our own fantastic CDN bands. Discovered the British ‘house music’ scene as well, ‘alternative’ it was deemed as here. I meshed all of the unique musicians together feeling those of us who had fallen crazy into the fandom wanted and needed new and fresh beautiful music. It all felt so personal like just a certain type of crowd were aware of all these fantastic bands. Like a secret, but not. It felt like a small, sweet world. Blessed that a local radio station played all that I was highly attracted to and mentioned above. The outdoor festivals were amazing, the DJ’s in the clubs were tops and the age that I was created such a fucking fun place in time. How blessed I felt in being alive to enjoy! There won’t be anything remotely similar to the early 90’s ever again. We’ll hang onto dearly the fab feels we experienced. I was a changed girl forever. I miss Chris Cornell and Gord Downie. Their autographs are with me as I ride off into the sunset. Thanks for sharing your treasured photo moments and your reflection on the era Chris.
